At least 15 Palestinians were killed on Thursday in new Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources and the Palestinian news agency Wafa. The latest attacks add to the heavy toll in the ongoing conflict.

Ten people, including nine members of the same family, died when a barracks sheltering displaced civilians in Deir al-Balah, a city in central Gaza, was struck. Another five Palestinians lost their lives after fighter jets hit a home in the Al-Saftawi neighborhood of northwestern Gaza City.

Israeli forces also raided the courtyard of Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza amid heavy gunfire. The soldiers reportedly set fire to tents that housed displaced people on the hospital grounds, worsening the humanitarian crisis.

Since October 2023, Israel has continued its military offensive in Gaza despite international calls for a ceasefire. The conflict has claimed nearly 53,700 Palestinian lives, most of them women and children.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. They face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity linked to the conflict. Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its actions in Gaza.

The violence has caused widespread displacement, forcing many civilians to seek refuge in hospitals, schools, and temporary shelters. Aid organizations have repeatedly called for humanitarian access to help the affected population.

The situation remains highly volatile as international efforts to broker peace continue to face challenges. Updates on the conflict will be provided as more information becomes available.
